AS A SAN DIEGO NATIVE and a third-generation real estate professional, Susie Nancarrow offers her clients what few real estate brokers can—her vast knowledge of coastal North County’s neighborhoods and schools.
Nancarrow listens carefully and has an uncanny knack for combining her local knowledge with her clients’ needs when making a move in San Diego County. She attributes her success to staying current on the latest real estate education and technology. At the moment, Nancarrow is working toward her Certified Residential Specialist designation, which is a yearlong program focusing on a variety of topics such as investment, marketing, and how best to expose her listings. She also is working on two other designations—the ePro designation and EcoBroker designation—relating to Internet business principles and environmental issues such as green building, the field of mold and energy efficiency.
“I look at my role not only as a salesperson but as an expert consultant to help clients make the right choices for their lives,” Nancarrow says. She believes she adds value for her clients by being interested in their long-term happiness no matter which property they choose to purchase. She’d much prefer her clients take time to be certain they find the best property to fit their long-term needs.
Nancarrow relies on technology to enhance her listings on realtor.com and her own Web site, susienancarrow.com. She also uses the highest quality photos from professional photographers to accompany her listings. She believes pictures are worth their weight in gold, so she uses them often.
Nancarrow earned her real estate license about 10 years ago and her broker’s license in 2006. Nancarrow also earned the prestigious Society of Excellence Award in 2005 and 2006 from Coldwell Banker—where she’s been an agent the past four years—based on her gross commissions.
Nancarrow is married to 10 News weatherman and environmental reporter Loren Nancarrow. They have three children— two in college and one in high school. The Nancarrow family is involved in a number of charitable causes including the ECO-LIFE Foundation, an international nonprofit dedicated to providing sustainable water, food and shelter for all cultures, San Elijo Lagoon Foundation, Quail Botanical Gardens and the San Pasqual Academy.
