Hundreds of guests packed into Anthology in Little Italy to celebrate the release of the San Diego Fire Relief CD, a compilation of songs by local artists committed to rebuilding the community in the wake of last year’s wildfires. More than $4,000 was raised at the benefit, which was cohosted by NBC 7/39’s Kimberly King and Billy “Bushwalla” Galewood and included performances by Voices of Prayze, Get Back Loretta, Married by Elvis, A.J. Croce, Tim Flannery, Carlos Olmeda, Molly Jenson and Alex Woodard.

Proceeds from the event and CD sales go, in part, to The San Diego Foundation’s After-the-Fires Fund 2007 and the Fireman’s Fund. In addition to tracks by all the artists who performed at the benefit, the CD (available through firereliefcd.com) features tunes by Angels & Airwaves, Jason Mraz, Bushwalla, Switchfoot, Tristan Prettyman and Anya Marina.
